It’s official! Wimmera Truck Centre - our new Service and Parts facility in Horsham, is up and running and what better way to celebrate than with a grand opening event!

After months of much-needed facility upgrades, Wimmera Truck Centre is now running at full capacity and is designed to further support our customer base in Horsham and surrounding districts for servicing and repair.

In December, we held an official grand opening event to celebrate the newest addition to our PACCAR Family, further expanding our current dealership network which includes CMV Truck Centre in Adelaide, Hallam & Bayswater Truck Centres in Melbourne, and the Barry Maney Group in Mount Gambier.

It was fantastic to be able to showcase our updated centre to the community, customers, suppliers, and staff from our other dealerships. As guests arrived, we’re sure they would have been impressed with not only the ‘pop-up style’ workshop beer-garden with trucks on display, but the business transformation as a whole!

As the night began, acoustic soloist, Aaron Murray provided some great tunes while guests enjoyed a selection of delicious cocktail food by Finns Fine Food, including their amazing lamb koftas. Everyone also enjoyed a couple of beers whilst catching up with each other and checking out the exceptional transformation of the Wimmera site.

Matt Neilson, Wimmera Truck Centre & BMG Parts Operations Manager, took the opportunity to officially welcome everyone to the evening and acknowledged how great it was to have significant representatives attend, including Cnr. Robyn Gulline, Mayor of Horsham, as well as Mark Santschi, PACCAR Parts General Manager.

It was also incredible to have representatives from industry leading brands such as Meritor, Eaton, Castrol, DANA, Cummins, PacLease and PACCAR take the time to join us and chat with our customers on the night.

Matt then shared with our guests some insights into the substantial works undertaken to ensure Wimmera Truck Centre was fully operational to ensure we could continue to support the Horsham region. He also shared plans around how we are looking to continue to grow Wimmera Truck Centre to accommodate and provide support to our customers well into the future.

As formalities came to a close, guests were encouraged to stay for more good food and entertainment, and to continue to take a walk around the building to get a good look at all the impressive upgrades.

Over the last six months, a lot of hard work by our team has gone into getting Wimmera Truck Centre from what it was at handover in March, to where it is now. We could not be prouder to see how far it has come in that time not only as a building, but also in seeing the significant growth in the use of our services by customers in the Wimmera region. We are excited to see this growth continue as we build on our resourcing and presence within the community.
