Shifting the needle with Energy Logistix
From its modest beginning as a family-owned company, Energy Logistix has grown to become South Australia’s leader in the provision of logistics services for the oil and gas, mining and renewable energy industries, amongst many others.
Shaun Williamson, Director of Energy Logistix co-founded the company with his mum, Jo, in 2012 where they started off with small jobs making sure they were done well. Since then, the company has been making inroads, not only hauling big loads on trucks but project managing the whole job from start to finish, taking responsibility for everything.
CMV Truck Centre has had the pleasure of supporting Energy Logistix since 2014, providing a range of Kenworth heavy haulers to allow Shaun and his team to in turn, provide the safest and most reliable service back to their clients.
As early adopters of new technology, we were thrilled to deliver two eye-catching Kenworth C509’s to Energy Logistix, the first the hit the open road in South Australia on Euro 6 Cummins X15 engines. CMV Truck Centre's Director, Jono Crawford, sat down with Shaun recently to discuss what's keeping him behind the badge. Check out the video below to find out more about how we worked with the Energy Logistix team to select the best equipment for their business.
So, what’s keeping Energy Logistix behind the Kenworth badge?
“We have a vision for our business to be sustainable and generational, so we’re really shifting the needle on emissions, efficiencies and innovative technologies and equipment to embrace that in our strategy moving forward,” says Shaun.
The CMV Truck Centre team offered the next sustainable engine platform for lower emissions and improved fuel economy to help them continue to achieve that – Cummins’ Euro 6 X15 engine platform. When asked about their efforts in shifting that needle, Shaun believes they have invested in the right product that not only aligns with their sustainable business model and values, but their impact on the environment.
“We have to figure out what our emissions are and what CO2 we’re putting out into the atmosphere, how we can counteract that and reduce our carbon footprint. The best and most efficient way to move is by maximising performance-based combinations, with Euro 6 engines and air CTI systems. All these one-per-centres add up,” he says.
Much of Energy Logistix’s growth and success has been built on the aim of investing locally. “We have learned how important it is to invest in local business, Australian-made products and local, skilled workers. It’s critical to forge a path forward, and our commitment to innovation and sustainability is aligned in our partnership with CMV Truck Centre,” says Shaun.
While Shaun and his team live by the motto “we make it happen” for their clients, we too, look forward to supporting their team in continuing to grow as an innovative and sustainable force in the transport industry. “We’re very proud to support another family-owned South Australian business whose forward thinking is driving innovation, efficiency and sustainability in the transport sector,” says Jono Crawford, Director here at CMV Truck Centre.
Congratulations to Energy Logistix for taking delivery of these incredible Kenworth C509’s. We can’t wait to see them out on our roads!
