What a night! CMV Truck Centre customers and their guests were recently invited to our Customer Appreciation and Product Information Evening at our Cavan dealership to thank them for their ongoing support of our Parts business.

As guests arrived, they wouldn’t have been able to miss the smell of barbequed meat wafting through the air and the jaw-dropping line up of big rigs that surrounded our outdoor pop-up beer-garden. These trucks were a mixture of CMV Truck Centre’s fleet, as well as customer trucks on display for our Show ‘N’ Shine competition, where the winner would be later decided.

As the night kicked off, acoustic duo Zkye and Damo set the mood with some great tunes while guests had the opportunity to catch up with the  CMV Truck Centre team over a beer and grab themselves a delicious plate of South American BBQ by BBQ At Yours, like their mouth-watering Pulled Pork Burger!

On top of the trucks, cold drinks and finger-licking food, we also had over 20 suppliers from the biggest brands in the industry attend, with impressive offerings and product demos at each of their stalls. Guests were encouraged to make their way around the showroom and interact with all the suppliers and their products, which in doing so, gave them an entry into the draw to win a prize as part of our door prize giveaway. With impressive items contributed by the suppliers as well, we had a generous collection of prizes to hand out with a whopping total value of $20k.

Heath Patten, CMV Truck Centre General Manager, officially welcomed everyone to the evening and thanked our loyal parts customers for their continued support. Following Heath’s welcome, Rob Baumann, CMV Truck Centre Parts Operations Manager, provided our guests with a run down of the evening, and explained some of our new capabilities and goals for the department to improve our parts customers experience as we move into 2024.

As the night continued, guests had the chance to take part in one of four site tours held throughout the night. This was the first time we have hosted these types of tours at the dealership, and we were excited to be able to give guests a valuable insight of the fantastic facilities we have on offer, as well as share some of the history of our parent company, the CMV Group.

Guests who took part in the tours got a behind the scenes walkthrough of the entire site including the service workshop – here, they got a look at the two full length pits, which can accommodate a connected B-Double, as well checking out the brake and road simulation testing equipment we have available.

If guests weren’t on a site tour during the night and had checked out the supplier stalls already, they were outside having a good look at the Show ‘N’ Shine truck entrants all lined up, and casting their votes on who should win. With ten customer trucks entered ranging from T909’s to T610’s, it was tough to pick a favourite!

As the evening progressed, Rob and Jonathan Crawford, CMV Truck Centre Managing Director, took to stage one last time to draw all of our amazing prizes and announce the ‘people’s choice’ Show ‘N’ Shine winner. It was a close result and B&K Haulage’s Kenworth T909 brought it home, crowned ‘Best in Show’! Congratulations again to Darren Stenzel of B&K Haulage!

Once formalities had wrapped up, guests were encouraged to hang around for more delicious food and entertainment and enjoy the night.

A massive thank you again to our amazing suppliers for taking part in the night. The showroom looked unreal, and it was great to see all our guests interacting with the stalls and finding out more about the products available.
