2022 Apprentice Graduation & Welcome
Each year, one of our favourite events at the dealership is our Apprentice Welcome and Graduation evening as it gives us the opportunity to not only welcome our newest team members, but also celebrate the achievements of our current and graduating apprentices. We take the opportunity to also recognise the mentors within our business who play a pivotal role in helping to guide and teach our apprentices, to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to complete their trade.
In late April, our Apprentices and Graduates, their families and loved ones, CMV Truck Centre team members and our partners in the industry joined us for a special night at the dealership.
With delicious pizzas from Amore Pizza, guests arrived and took the opportunity to catch up before being officially welcomed by Jonathan Crawford, CMV Truck Centre Managing Director. Jono was joined by Service Operations Manager, Josh Caccianiga, to officially welcome our new apprentices to the team and present them with their commencement of training contract.
This year, our new team members come from a range of backgrounds and interests, including motorcycles, solar installation, hockey and automotive retail.
Welcome to our new Apprentices:
- Bradley Morcom
- Bryce Dent
- Ethan Lepley
- Brock Wise
“Upon completion of the program, apprentices will have gained skills and experience to tackle any level of maintenance and repair, from routine servicing, bumper to bumper repairs, and inframe and out-of-frame engine rebuilds. Congratulations to all of our graduates and welcome to our new Apprentices – we look forward to having you a part of our team,” says Josh Caccianiga, Service Operations Manager.
This year, we also had the opportunity to celebrate the successful graduation of six apprentices from our Apprenticeship Program. This year’s graduates are highly skilled, motivated and dedicated individuals who we are thrilled to see embrace new and exciting positions within our service team.
Congratulations to our Graduates

Beau was runner-up in the National Apprentice Challenge and has also won CMV Truck Centre’s Apprentice of the Year award. He has developed into a confident all-rounder who can carry out all types of repairs, ranging from diff overhauls, right through to Cummins engine rebuilds.

About CMV Truck Centre’s Apprenticeship Program
CMV Truck Centre’s four-year apprenticeship program combines specialised on the job training and learning with industry leading professionals at our state-of-the-art facilities.
We currently have four apprentice programs available:
- Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician Apprenticeships
- Auto Electrical Technician Apprenticeships
- Sheet Metal Apprenticeships
- Parts Interpreter Apprenticeships
Apprentices begin with a three-week induction around workshop and equipment safety, followed by workshop specific processes. Upon completion, each apprentice is assigned to a qualified technician for supervision and mentorship for their next two years. Over this period, they are taught specific job tasks and guided through their on-the-job skills training across various departments such as auto electrical, engineering, and service and safety.
Throughout the apprenticeship program, further training and support is provided by our Service Operations Manager, who coordinates and supervises trade school attendance, training plans, and provides guidance and advice.
